Apple recently implemented a historic and hefty 22.6% average price increase across the iPad line. This equates to a roughly $100 – $200 increase, depending on the model you are looking for.
As we wrote in our Members newsletter last month:
This announcement from Apple is virtually unprecedented and comes as a direct result of the global AI race. More specifically the shortage of both DRAM (Dynamic Random-Access Memory) and NAND Flash Storage, key components in AI servers.
However there is a silver lining to these increases that you may have not thought about just yet.
The private pre-owned market has now seen resale prices for second hand iPad’s jump by over $200, inline with Apple’s refurbished device pricing.
